Welcome to the Sexuality and Gender Lab at Queen’s University. As sex researchers, we are passionate about contributing new knowledge to the field of gender/sex and sexuality research.

Who are we?

We are a group of sex and gender researchers at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Our mission is to create a research community that values and respects sexual and gender diversity and inclusion, upholds the highest standards of research ethics and practice, and is committed to addressing representation in sexuality and gender research.

What do we do?

We conduct basic research, such as examining sexual responses in the laboratory, and clinical research, such as understanding factors that contribute to healthy sexual functioning. To learn more about the range of topics covered in our research program, please click here. Although some of our studies may focus on a particular gender or sexual orientation, the SageLab is an environment that supports people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We also work to challenge the invisibility and silencing faced by LBTQ21A+ folks, as well as contribute to the discourse around sexual response for all people.
